Navy Commander calls on Air Force Commander

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne today (21^st July 2020) called on Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias at the Air Force Headquarters. Commander of the Navy was accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival at the Air Force Headquarters. This visit also marked the first official interaction between them after Commander of the Navy assumed office as the 24^th Navy Chief.

During the cordial interactions that ensued after the exchange of pleasantries, the Commander of the Air Force extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ulugetenne and assured his fullest assistance to the Navy. He also promised that the Air Force would continue to render assistance in support of Navy’s maritime surveillance and other naval operations.

The event was attended by members of Air Force Board of Management and a group of senior officers. The cordial courtesy meeting culminated with an exchange of mementos symbolizing long-existing goodwill between the two organizations.
