41st edition of ‘Sayurusara’ presented to Commander of the Navy
The 41st edition of ‘Sayurusara’ magazine was presented to Commander of the Navy, Admiral Piyal De Silva by its editorial board at the Navy Headquarters today (14th July 2020).
The occasion was attended by the Naval Assistant and patron of the magazine, Commodore Dhammika Kumara, Navy Media Coordinator and executive supervisor of the magazine, Lieutenant Commander Isuru Suriyabandara and Staff Officer (Media) and chief editor of ‘Sayurusara’, Lieutenant Commander (VNF) Saliya Sudusinghe.
With the aim of ameliorating the reading and writing habits as well as making a platform for creative ideas of naval personnel, this biannual magazine is published by the Navy Media Unit. It also aims to make naval community aware on Navy’s Corporate Social Responsibility projects, environmental drives and special occasions, through wide variety of articles.
Meanwhile, at the directives of Commander of the Navy, Admiral Piyal De Silva, a dedicated section of the 41st edition had been reserved for the creations of naval personnel who tasted the bitter experience with the looming threat of COVID-19.
