Commander Nilantha Kurukulasooriya assumes command of SLNS Prathapa

Commander Nilantha Kurukulasooriya assumed command of SLNS Prathapa, one of the Fast Gun Boats (FGB) belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy, on 11^th July 2020.

Accordingly, the former Commanding Officer of the vessel, Commander Raj Prasanna formally handed over the duties to the ship’s new Commanding Officer at the PH Bay premises in Kankasanthurai. The Deputy Area Commander Northern Naval Area Commodore LHSR Lelwala was also present on the occasion. The formal proceedings concluded with the supervision of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
