Navy apprehends person with Kerala cannabis

The Navy and the Police in a joint operation apprehended a person with Kerala cannabis, in Kinniya area on 9^th July 2020.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Kinniya Police searched a suspect who was traveling along the road close to the Thauffic ground in Kinniya area and found 30g of Kerala cannabis in his possession. This amount of Kerala cannabis was made ready for sale.

The suspect was identified as a 42 year old permanant resident of Pungudutivu in Jaffna who is temporarily living in Sampoor area. Further investigation on the suspect and the amount of Kerala cannabis is conducted by the Kinniya Police.
