Captain Sanjeewa Perera assumes command of SLNS Sayurala

Captain Sanjeewa Perera assumed command of SLNS Sayurala, one of the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPVs) belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy on 10^th July 2020.

The Commanding Officer of the vessel, Commodore Kanchana Banagoda formally handed over the duties to the ship’s new Commanding Officer at the Colombo harbour premises. The Deputy Area Commander Western Naval Area Commodore Bandula Senarathna was also present at the occasion. The formal proceedings concluded with the new Captain’s Division and the address of ship’s company.
