Whole night Pirith chanting at reopened Navy General Hospital-Welisara
Sri Lanka Navy held a whole night Pirith chanting followed by an alms giving to Maha Sanga at the Navy General Hospital premises in Welisara in view of its reopening for the ordinary and out patients’ treatments.
With the reservation of the Navy General Hospital for treatment of corona infected naval personnel, treatment for ordinary patient were restricted. Since, the spreading of COVID-19 has now well controlled in Sri Lanka and Naval General Hospital premises is out of risk, the normal routine treatment of the hospital will be commenced on 10th July 2020. In view of this reopening, the hospital staff organized a whole night Pirith chanting on 08th July 2020 and conducted an alms giving for Maha Sanga in the following morning ( 09th July 2020).
Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Chief of Staff of the Navy, Director General Health Services, other officers and a cross section of hospital staff were present on these occasions.
