Twenty nine (29) naval personnel tested negative for COVID-19 discharged from hospitals-recovered number goes up to 877

Another twenty nine (29) naval personnel who contracted coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospital, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 02^nd July 2020.

These naval personnel who were identified positive for coronavirus, had been admitted to hospitals. Out of these twenty nine, 21 persons in Welikanda hospital, 06 persons in Minuwangoda hospital and 02 persons in Iranawila hospital, were under treatment. Since, these sailors found negative for COVID-19 on the reports of random PCR tests done under treatment, they were discharged on 02^nd July 2020.

As of now, including these 29 naval personnel, 877 naval personnel out of the total number of infected ones, have been discharged from hospitals after tested negative for COVID-19. Further, these discharged naval personnel were directed to be kept under quarantine for another 14 days following the healthcare instructions.
