Certificate awarding and Pinning Ceremony of Bomb Disposal Course concludes successfully

The Certificate awarding and Pinning Ceremony of Bomb Disposal Course commenced according to a concept of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, at the Bomb Disposal Training School in Naval Detachment Mahawa, was held with the participation of the Commandant Naval Land Operations Rear Admiral HLADF Senavirathne, on 25^th June 2020.

Three officers and 27 sailors who successfully completed the course were awarded certificates. Lieutenant SAS Maheepala was adjudged as the Best Bomb Disposer while Able Patrolman SKMS Bandara was awarded the title of the Best Artificial Bomb Creator. These Naval personnel are getting qualification to serve in the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy, with completion of this course.

The awarding ceremony came to a close with the oath giving of the course followers as they will serve honestly and trustworthy to the Navy with what they have learnt.
