‘Hadawathe Handa’ and ‘Sathya Gaweshakayo’ donate face masks to Navy
The ‘Hadawathe Handa’ social care foundation and the association of ‘Sathya Gaweshakayo’ donated a stock of face masks to the Navy, in support of the Navy’s efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus. Accordingly, this donation was made at the Naval Headquarters on 10th June 2020.
The Navy is constantly receiving material support from various agencies and organizations for the programmes being undertaken to control the spread of novel coronavirus. As such, the Navy today received a 2,000 stock of face masks from the institutes of ‘Hadawathe Handa’ and ‘Sathya Gaweshakayo’. Mrs. Surangi Kodithuwakku, Chairperson of the ‘Hadawathe Handa’ social care foundation and Mr. Ranga Dolawatta, Project Director of the association of ‘Sathya Gaweshakayo’ were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva expressed his gratitude to the representatives of respective associations for presenting these items to the Sri Lanka Navy.
