SLNS ‘Samudura’ reaches Sri Lankan fishing vessels stranded by Amfan cyclonic storm

SLNS ‘Samudura’ which set sail on 21^st May 2020 to assists and provide fuel to the Sri Lankan multiday fishing vessels driven away to the seas off Indonesia by the effect of inclement weather caused by the Amfan cyclonic storm, has reached to those vessels and built up communication with them.

Subsequently, SLNS Samudura is providing food, medicine and fuel for Sri Lankan multiday fishing vessels which have been driven away to the seas off Indonesia by the Amfan cyclonic storm and now on their passage towards Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, SL Navy will assist for safe bringing back of all these fishing vessels stranded by the cyclonic storm.
