Women to Women Organization and Manusath Derana hands over mattresses and bed linen to Navy
The Women to Women Organization joining hands with Manusath Derana handed over a stock of mattresses, pillows and bed linen to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters on06th May 2020. These items are expected to be used in programmes which are undertaken by the Navy in view of arresting the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The Navy is receiving material aids from various agencies and organizations for the programmes being undertaken by it to control the spread of COVID-19 in the country. It is in this backdrop, the Navy has been provided with a range of items including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), face masks, water dispensers and bottled drinking water on numerous occasions by Manusath Derana Programme.
As an extension of this magnanimous effort, the Women to Women Organization joined hands with Manusath Derana to make this latest donation in which 200 mattresses, pillows and bed linen each were handed over to the Navy today. The occasion was also attended by Miss. Dinitha Ratnayake, National Organizer of Women to Women Organization and staff members of Manusath Derana.
Meanwhile, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, receiving the stock of aids to the Navy, expressed his gratitude to the officials of Women to Women Organization and Manusath Derana team for continuously engaging in charitable efforts of this nature.
