Stock of medicine donated to Navy by Morison PLC
In assistance to the Navy’s effort to control the spread of coronavirus in the country and responding to a request of former Commander of the Navy, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, Morison PLC donated a stock of medicines to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters, on 06th May 2020.
Under prevailing situation, several programmes are being carried out by the Navy, to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country and a number of material aids are being received by Navy from various organizations who wish to support these campaigns. Accordingly, following a request of former Commander of the Navy, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, a stock of more than 100000 tablets of vitamin ‘c’ was handed over to Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva by Morison PLC, today.
Moreover, a stock containing about 50000 of similar vitamin ‘c’ tablets was donated by Morison PLC on a previous occasion, for the use of patients at Navy General Hospital. Taking over the donation, Commander of the Navy expressed Navy’s gratitude to the representatives of Morison PLC for their timely valuable intervention.
