Navy holds three persons with 03 trucks for illegal transportation of sand

Navy held 3 persons who were transporting sand without permits by 03 trucks, at the road block conducted by Navy near Gangei bridge, Kinniya on 05^th May 2020.

Even under this epidemic situation in the country, Navy continues its frequent raids in order to prevent illegal activities. Accordingly, these 03 persons who were illegally transporting sand without valid permits by 03 trucks, were apprehended when they were checked at the road block conducted by a team of Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, near Gangei bridge, Kinniya.

The suspects are residents of Wellagala and Kandy areas aged 32-43.They along with trucks with lord of sand were handed over to Kinniya Police for legal action.
