Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) Ltd. donates protective face masks to Navy
Extending their cooperation to the Navy’s quarantine programme to control the spread of coronavirus in the country, Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) Ltd. donated a stock of protective face masks to the SL Navy, at the Lighthouse Galley premises, today (22nd April 2020).
The Navy is carrying out a number of programmes under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country and also maintains quarantine centers at Boosa, Oluvil, Sampoor, Mulankavil and Kalpitiya areas. Further, this worthy cause is supported by various organizations by providing materials aids. Accordingly, on the directives of the Chief Executive Officer of the Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd. Mr. Jack Hong, its representatives donated a stock of protective face masks to the Navy, today. The donation was taken over by Chief of Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and representatives of the CICT Ltd. appreciated the process executed by the Sri Lanka Navy to control the spread of coronavirus.
Further, Chief of Staff of the Navy expressed Navy’s gratitude to the representatives of CICT Ltd. for this worthy contribution provided to the Navy.
