Navy reaches Kottawa and Panagoda to entertain people confined to housing complexes

Stepping in to provide some respite to the people confined at apartments as a result of the imposition of curfew in Colombo district, the Navy carried out another entertaining event on 19th April 2020, in a bid to lift their spirits.

Augmenting the government’s efforts to lift the spirits of people confined to their residences following the looming threat of novel coronavirus, this series of entertainment events organized by the Navy got underway, following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. Thereby, the most recent segment of these musical events was held at housing complexes of Luxe Highway in Kottawa and Green Valley in Panagoda on 19th April 2020.

The Navy was able to provide an evening of entertainment to the people in those areas, who enjoyed every second of this musical evening. On the sidelines of entertainment, those residents were also educated on good hygiene habits as well as social distancing to prevent being infected by the deadly virus.
