Disinfection chamber improvised by Navy installed in Southeastern Naval Command
A disinfection chamber improvised by Sri Lanka Navy was set up at the main entrance of Southeastern Naval Command on 19th April 2020.
The Navy has installed a number of disinfection chambers at hospital premises and public places, as part of its Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) Project. Following the same footsteps, the Department of Civil Engineering set up this disinfection chamber at the main entrance of Southeastern Naval Command, following the directives of Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesuriya.
Depending on the prevailing situation in the country, naval personnel are engaged in essential services outside the naval bases. Further, it is essential that they will be properly sterilized when their return to work as maintaining a hygienic environment in naval premises is mandatory to maintain the healthy human resource of the Navy in these challenging times.
