Three (03) inmates at Oluvil Quarantine Centre tested positive for COVID-19
After having revealed that three (03) inmates at Naval Quarantine Centre in Oluvil were tested positive for COVID-19, the Navy promptly rushed them for treatment on 18th April 2020.
The Navy on 09th April 2020 conducted an intelligence operation to locate 28 persons who were avoiding quarantine orders remaining in the village of Suduwella, Ja-Ela. Subsequently, this group of persons were directed to the Naval Quarantine Centre in Oluvil for proper quarantine process. Meanwhile, this group of individuals underwent a PCR test on 17th April 2020 and in the test results 03 of them were tested positive for COVID-19.
Subsequently, the 03 individuals were rushed to treatment centre established at Iranawila for COVID-19 patents by a Navy’s ambulance on 18th April 2020.
