Person with illicit liquor and 'Madana Modaka' pills held by Navy
During a search conducted in Koththanthive, Baththuluoya on 16th April 2020, the Navy held a person in possession of illicit liquor and 'Madana Modaka' pills.
The apprehension was made by a group of naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command. Accordingly, the raiding party had searched a suspicious house in the area and recovered about 02 litres of illicit liquor and 37 'Madana Modaka' pills in possession of the resident. Subsequently, the suspect and illegal drugs were taken into naval custody.
The apprehended person was identified as a 44 year old resident of the same area. The Udappuwa Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
