Navy sings to entertain people under self-quarantine in housing complexes in Keththarama and Grandpass

Stepping in to provide some respite to the people confined at apartments under self-quarantine in Colombo district, the Navy on 11th April 2020 conducted 02 musical programmes at housing complexes in Keththarama and Grandpass areas.

Augmenting the government’s efforts to lift the spirits of people confined to their residences following the looming threat of novel coronavirus, this series of entertainment events organized by the Navy got underway on 05th of this month, under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.

Thereby, the most recent segment of these entertainment events was held at the housing complex in Keththarama and Jana Sevana housing scheme in Grandpass area. With the help of popular artist in the country, the Navy was able to provide an evening of entertainment to the people in those areas. On the sidelines of entertainment, those residents were also educated on good hygiene habits as well as social distancing to prevent being infected by the virus.
