Navy entertains apartment dwellers under self-quarantine

Authorities have declared certain districts in the island as high risk areas for the spread of new coronavirus. Stepping in to provide some respite to the people confined at apartments under self-quarantine in Colombo district, the Navy on 05^th April 2020 commenced several musical programmes in a bid to lift their spirits.

Accordingly, this series of entertainment events organized under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, found another destination today at apartment complexes of Prime Residencies in Mahabage and Sirimuthu Uyana in Ingurukade on 08^th April 2020.

On the sidelines of entertainment, those residents were also educated on good hygiene habits as well as social distancing to prevent being infected by the virus. Meanwhile, the Navy is determined to carry out similar programmes in time to come as well.
