Navy’s entertainment programme for self quarantined residents of flats

In assistance to the government’s line up to elude the stress of the people who stay at homes in the districts which have been declared by the government as risk zones to coronavirus, Sri Lanka Navy conducted a musical programme on 05th April 2020, for the self quarantined residents of flats in Colombo district, in view of keeping away their loneliness and anxiety.

Most of the people in Sri Lanka as well as people around the world are spending self quarantined period staying at homes to protect from the coronavirus. Consequently, on the directives of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Sri Lanka Navy conducted a musical programme on 5th April 2020, for the residents of flats in Colombo district, in view of entertaining them to keep away their loneliness and anxiety. Further, it is expected to console them in their desperate time while appreciating and encouraging the people who extend their cooperation for the Tri Forces, Police and Heath services to carry out the essential services, silently staying at their homes which are surrounded by very congested and limited space.

Moreover, people were made aware of health practices to avoid the coronavirus during the programme and it was well supported by the residents of flats under the cheering straight from their homes. SL Navy is continuing its assistance to the government’s agenda to control the current disastrous situation in the country.
