More disinfection programmes conducted by Navy
Few more disinfection programmes were conducted by Sri Lanka Navy in order to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in the country, during 1st to 2nd April 2020, at Puttalam Base Hospital, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, People’s Bank premises in Narahenpita and Kirulapana and Zahira College-Puttalam.
On the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva these programmes of sterilization were carried out by Navy’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit. Accordingly, all the locations of these premises were successfully sterilized in accordance with proper guidelines for sanitization and disinfection, in order to control the spread of coronavirus.
Further, Navy is planning to carry out continuous disinfection programmes in public places to ward off the deadly coronavirus.
