Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. donates a stock of healthcare equipment to Navy
Extending their coorperation to the Navy’s quarantine programme to control the spread of coronavirus in the country, Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. donated a stock of healthcare equipment to the SL Navy, at the Naval Headquarters, today (02nd April 2020).
The Navy is carrying out a number of programmes under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country and to quarantine the suspected people. Further, this worthy cause is supported by state and private organizations by providing finance and materials aids. Accordingly, Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. donated 1800 protective face masks and 2000 surgical gloves to the Navy, today. The donation was handed over to Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters by the representatives of the Chinese firm and they appreciated the process executed in Sri Lanka to control the spread of coronavirus.
Further, Commander of the Navy expressed his gratitude to the Chinese representatives for this worthy contribution, on behalf of the Navy.
