First group undergone quarantine period at Boosa Naval Base leaves the centre

The first group who had undergone quarantine period in the quarantine centre established by Navy at Boosa Naval Base, left the center after successful completion of their quarantine process, on 01^st April 2020.

In assistance to the government’s coordinated mechanism to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country, under the directives of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, four storied building at Boosa Naval Base was transformed as a quarantine centre by the Navy. As the first group who completed their quarantine period successfully in this centre, one (01) Japanese lady and two(02) French nationals were sent off from the centre on 01^st April 2020. Further, two(02) Srilankans who completed quarantine period were also sent off on 02^nd April 2020. The quarantine certificate which is issued to confirm that they have completed the quarantine period, was given away by the Commander Southern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul.

Moreover, other 64 Srilankan personnel are undergoing quarantine period in this centre. Further, by now, SL Navy has established few more quarantine centres assisting the government’s effort in every possible means.
