Certificate awarding ceremony of Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Style 2020/01 held in Trincomalee

Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Style 2020/01 between Sri Lanka Navy and US Army commenced at the Special Boat Squadron HQ in Trincomalee on 02^nd March 2020. After nearly a month the course reached to its termination on 30^th Mar 2020, followed by certificate awarding ceremony.

The event was graced by Deputy Area Commander of Eastern Naval Area, Commodore Sanjeewa Dias as the Chief Guest. Further, Commanding officer 4^th Fast Attack Flotilla, Commanding Officer Special Boat Squadron, members from the Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha 1333 of US Army and naval personnel from the 4^th Fast Attack Flotilla and Special Boat Squadron were present on this occasion.

Total thirty five (35) Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) personnel from the Special Boat Squadron (24) and the 4^th Fast Attack Flotilla (11) underwent the training programme. The JCET was augmented by six (06) trainers from Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha 1333 of US Army.

The four-week long exercise focused on Human Rights, Law of Armed Conflict, Small Unit Tactics, Military Operations in Urban Environment, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Combat Marksmanship, Close Quarter Battle, Mission Planning, Maritime Operations etc which helped develop professional skills and exchange of knowledge between personnel of US Army and SLN.
