A stock of healthcare equipment donated to Navy by DSI Samson Group
In assistance to the Navy’s quarantine programme to control the spread of coronavirus in the country, the DSI Samson Group donated a stock of healthcare equipment to the Navy.
The Navy is carrying out a number of programmes under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country. Further, this worthy cause is supported by state and private organizations by providing finance and materials aids. Accordingly, the DSI Samson Group donated 250 protective shoes and surgical footwear to the Navy, on 25th March 2020.The donations were received by Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul.
A group of representatives from the DSI Samson Group was present on this occasion. The donors highly appreciated the Navy's ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the country. Commander Southern Naval Area also expressed his gratitude for this magnanimous contribution, on behalf of the Navy.
