Borella, De Zoysa Maternity Hospital sterilized by the Navy
As a measure of controlling the spreading of new coronavirus in the country, Sri Lanka Navy conducted a sterilization programme at the De Zoysa Maternity Hospital in Borella, today (21st March 2020).
Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, De Zoysa Maternity Hospital premises in Borella was sterilized by the Navy’s Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit, today. Considering the control of the spreading new coronavirus and in response to a request made by the authorities of the De Zoysa Maternity Hospital where large number of patients are treated daily, were sterilized. All areas and buildings in the hospital premises were sterilized by CBRN Unit following the standard operational procedures.
SL Navy is on alert to assist in every possible means to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
