JSW Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. donates one million rupees to Navy to continue its fight against COVID-19
In support of the government’s efforts to control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID – 19), Sri Lanka Navy, under the able guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, has been conducting various programmes making use of its manpower, expertise and resources. The Navy has already set up a quarantine centre at the Boossa naval premises and is continuing sterilization of public places. Having recognized the Navy’s involvement and need of the hour, JSW Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. donated one million rupees to the Navy today (19th March 2020).
After having realized the praiseworthy role being played by the Navy to arrest further spread of the virus in the country, JSW Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. made this donation at the Naval Headquarters, to continue its fight against COVID-19. A group of officials of JSW Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. was present on this occasion and the Navy’s efforts in this regard received high praise from them. Meanwhile, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva expressed his gratitude to JSW Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. for the donation made to step up Navy’s efforts.
Further, Sri Lanka Navy is fully committed to control the spread of the virus in the country and is ready to contribute its resources, experience and expertise to meet the national needs in future events.
