Hundred and three (103) sea turtle hatchlings released to ocean

The Turtle Conservation Centre at Panama managed under Navy Turtle Conservation Project released hundred and three(103) sea turtle hatchlings to the ocean today (15^th March 2020).

The Turtle Conservation Centre at Panama is operated under Navy Turtle Conservation Project, going by the directives of Commander of the Navy and the Head of the Marine and Environment Conservation Committee Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. These 103 sea turtle hatchlings came out from eggs which were conserved by Turtle Conservation Centre at Panama and the hatchlings were released to the ocean today under the supervision of Commander Southeastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Neville Ubayasiri.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Navy which has realized the significance of the conservation of marine creatures and resources, has employed its men efficiently for conservation activities in the coastal areas of the island.
