The ambassador of the Afghanistan His Excellency M Ashraf Haidari meets Commander Northern Naval Area

The Ambassador of the Islamic republic of Afghanistan to Sri Lanka His Excellency M Ashraf Haidari paid official visit to the Northern Naval Headquarters on 12^th March 2020.

Accordingly, visiting Afghanistan Ambassador was warmly received by the Deputy Chief of Staff cum Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera at Northern Naval Command Headquarters Kankasanthurei, and held cordial discussion on several matters of mutual interest. During the session, Area Commander also highlighted the Ambassador on present security concerns at the sea and land, and further elaborated the Cooperate Support Responsibility projects that enhance the living standards of the civil society in the area and effort to apprehend contraband with the presence of all HODs of the Command. Ambassador praised the remarkable contribution to apprehend contraband by the navy. Accordingly, the Ambassador noted that both the nations have vast experiences in military field that can be exchanged. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the importance of this occasion.
