Navy turtle conservation project releases another Seventy eight (78) sea turtle hatchlings to the ocean

The turtle conservation unit at Panama managed under the Navy turtle conservation project released another seventy eight (78) sea turtle hatchlings which were emerged under their supervision, today (09^th March 2020).

Accordingly, these 78 sea turtle hatchlings which were emerged from the eggs hatched under the Navy’s protection at the turtle conservation site in Panama which is being managed under the guidance of Commander of the Navy and the head of the Marine and Environment conservation Committee Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, were released to the ocean under the supervision of Deputy Area Commander South Eastern Naval Area Commodore Neville Ubayasiri.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Navy which foresees the significance of the conservation of marine creatures and resources, directs its manpower efficiently for conservation activities along the coastal areas of the island.
