Whole night Pirith chanting at Murunkan ancient temple
In view of evoking blessings for Sri Lanka and all universe as well, a whole night Pirith chanting was conducted at the Murunkan ancient temple under the patronage of Maha Sanga, on 7th March 2020.
It was significant that the ceremony was attended by all Catholic, Hindu and Islamic religious dignitaries in Mannar area. Organizing of this Pirith chanting ceremony was well assisted by the Naval personnel of North Central Naval Command under the directives of Area Commander Rear Admiral Lalith Dissanayake and the worthy task was praised by the Chief Incumbent of Murungan ancient temple Ganegoda Sarana Nayaka Thero.
Senior and junior officers, sailors and soldiers of Sri Lanka Navy, SL Army and SL Police personnel participated in the ceremony.
