Japanese Navy ship ‘Takanami’ departs the island

The Japanese Navy ship “Takanami” which arrived in Sri Lanka on 21^st February 2020, departed the island, today (23^rd February 2020).

The crew members of the ship took part in a number of programmes organized by Sri Lanka Navy, during their stay in the island. These events paved the way to exchange knowledge and experiences of the naval personnel of both countries and it was commended by the crew of the Japanese ship.

The Japanese ship which was departing the island on successful completion of the events of their three day tour, was bade customary farewell by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions.
