VBSS Course for members of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) terminated in Trincomalee
The Visit Board Search & Seizure (VBSS) Course conducted for a group of members of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) came to a successful end in Trincomalee on 21st February 2020.
Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, this course was started on 10th of this month and it included a group of 16 including 01 Coast Guard member from Bangladesh, 08 naval personnel from Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet (FOCNF) and 07 Special Boat Squadron (SBS) personnel.
The participants received certificates on successful completion of the course and the certificate awarding ceremony was graced by Training Commander Special Boat Squadron Training School, Commander Nishshanka Wikramasinghe.
The training programme held over 12 days imparted the trainees comprehensive knowledge on drug identification, drug transferring methods and planning, preparation and boarding procedures.
