Commander of the Navy Chief Guest at Sports meet of Defence Services College-Kurunegala

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva was the Chief Guest at the annual Sports meet of the Defence Services College, Kurunegala held on 20^th February 2020. He was warmly received by the Principal, Staff and students on arrival and he was escorted to the main pavilion by the school band.

The sports meet was well rich of talented sports events performed by the students and Commander of the Navy gave away the awards for those who excelled in their events. This colourful ceremony put a landmark note in the diary of Defence Services College-Kurunegala, a leading educational institution in the area.

A memento was presented to the Commander of the Navy by the principal in recognition of his gracious presence on the occasion. After the conclusion of the ceremony, Commander of the Navy also took time off to meet the naval personnel attached to the construction of the new building at the college.
