Navy assists to extinguish fire at Dickovita

A team of navy fire fighters assisted to douse an emergency fire broke out at a barren land in front of the Southern terminal of Dickovita fisheries harbour, on 18^th February 2020.

As a quick reaction to the information of a fire at a barren land in front of the Southern terminal of Dickovita fisheries harbour, a fire fighting team attached to the Western Naval Command was promptly dispatched to the location. Accordingly, Naval fire fighting team which comprised of a fire engine, with the assistance of residents in the area seized the spreading fire.

At any of the disastrous situations arise islandwide, Sri Lanka Navy is prepared to provide the people with rescue and relief assistance.
