Commander of the Navy hails naval personnel in 72nd Independence Day celebrations

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva expressed his admiration for the naval personnel who took part in the 72^nd Independence Day celebrations, during an event held at the Western Naval Command today (19^th February 2020).

The Navy Commander was warmly received at the Western Naval Command Headquarters by its Deputy Area Commander, Commodore Bandula Senarathna. Thereupon, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva proceeded to the main parade ground of SLNS Rangalla and highly acclaimed the performances of the naval contingents which added much glamour to the 72nd Independence Day celebrations.

Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and Director General Administration, Rear Admiral Priyantha Kurukulasuriya were also present on this occasion.
