Kennel Unit of Southern Naval Command established

The new Kennel Unit of the Southern Naval Command was established today (18^thFebruary 2020) by Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul.

Following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Piyal De Silva this special unit of canines was established to use sniffer dogs to detect substances such as explosives, illegal drugs, suspicious persons etc., especially during naval operations being conducted in the area.
