Certificate awarding of Long Executive Specialization Course held under the patronage of Commander of the Navy
The certificate and prize awarding ceremony of the Long Executive Specialization Course was held under the patronage of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium today (15th February 2020).
The Long Executive Specialization Course commenced at the Naval and Maritime Academy on 01st July 2019 for the first time and it included Specialization Courses of Anti-submarine Warfare, Communication, Gunnery and Navigation, with 06 student officers for each course.
The officers who successfully completed the course and those who excelled during the course of study received certificates and prizes from Commander of the Navy who graced the event as the Chief Guest. The occasion was also attended by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe, Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Nandana Jayarathna, Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Upul De Silva, Director General Training, Rear Admiral Rohitha Perera and a large number of officers and sailors.
On completion of the certificate and prize awarding, Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore Prasanna Mahavithana presented a memento to Commander of the Navy. Concluding the proceedings of the event Commander of the Navy posed for a group photograph as well.
