Newly constructed NOIC (Trincomalee South) chalet at SLNS Kashyapa declared open

The newly constructed chalet of the Naval Officer in-charge (Trincomalee South) was declared open today (14^th February 2020) by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe.

After the opening of the chalet of Naval Officer in-charge (NOIC), the Area Commander planted a 'Kumbuk' sapling on the premises to signify this event. This occasion was also attended by NOIC (Trincomalee North), Commodore Nishantha Ponnamperuma, NOIC (Trincomalee South), Commodore Prasad Kariyapperuma, Heads of Departments, Commanding Officers from the area and a group of officers attached to SLNS Kashyapa.

Further, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe also left his remarks in the Visitors' Book before posing for a group photograph with rest of the officers.
