Seven hundred and seventy six (776) Navy absentees report to naval bases during general amnesty period
Seven hundred and seventy six (776) Navy absentees have reported to naval bases during the general amnesty period declared on the sidelines of the 72nd Independence Day.
To coincide with the 72nd Independence Day, a week-long general amnesty period commencing from 05th February was declared, following the directives of His Excellency the President, for tri-forces absentees to receive a discharge or to rejoin and continue their national service to the country.
Accordingly, 776 Navy absentees who left the Navy without following proper procedures have reported back to the naval bases island wide.
