Navy assist apprehension of 02 suspects with Kerala cannabis

The Navy apprehended 02 persons, during a coordinated search conducted with the Police in Muthur on 11^th February 2020.

During a coordinated search conducted with the Muthur Police, the Navy has intercepted 02 persons on a motorbike in Muthur area and found about 500g of Kerala cannabis in their possession. The Navy has been conducting regular anti-drug operations island wide to wage its war on drug smuggling and was able to make this apprehension as an extension of those efforts. The apprehended persons have been identified as residents of Muthur, aged 20 and 24.

Meanwhile, the Muthur Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
