Navy assists to apprehend person with 56g of Kerala Cannabis

A person with about 56g of Kerala Cannabis were apprehended during a search carried out by the Navy in coordination with SL Police, in Kuchchaweli area on 07^th February 2020.

Sri Lanka Navy which provides a mass contribution in the national effort of making a drugs free country, conducted a search operation in coordination with Police STF-Pulmudai, at Madurankuda area in Kuchchaweli. Subsequently, by the search a suspect, with about 56g of Kerala Cannabis was apprehended. A mobile phone, an electric scale and amount of Rs.21320.00 which were in his possession were also taken into naval custody.

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Kuchchaweli area aged 27. Further investigation on the suspect and the seized amount of KG, are conducted by Kuchchaweli Police.
