Navy assists to apprehend suspect with Kerala Cannabis

Navy apprehended a person with about 2kg and 300g of Kerala Cannabis during a raid carried out in coordination with SL Police, at Bammanna area in Pannala, on 27^th January 2020.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka Navy which always contributes in eradicating the drug menace from the island, conducted a drug preventive operation in coordination with Police STF-Jayawardenapura, at Bammanna area in Pannala and observed a suspicious person. The person was searched and found about 2kg and 300g of Kerala Cannabis in his possession and the suspect was apprehended. He is a resident of Narammala area aged 34.

The suspect along with the seized KG was handed over to Pannala Police for onward legal action.
