Navy assists to conduct medical camp for school children

In parallel with the 66^th anniversary of the Vijaya Maha Vidyalaya at Padikaramaduwa in Anuradhapura, a medical camp had been organized at the school premises on 23^rd and 24^th January 2020, with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy.

The dental unit, counseling unit and the drug prevention unit of the Navy actively engaged in this magnanimous social responsibility project which benefited about 289 people including school children of Vijaya Maha Vidyalaya and surrounding schools, teachers and residents of the area. As part of this event a dental clinic, a personality development programme and a drug prevention programme were also organized.

The social responsibility programme also received high praise from the teachers, school children and residents of the area. The Navy will continue to conduct similar social responsibility programmes in the future as well.
