Navy assists the Sea Swimming competition at Mahinda College-Galle

Sri Lanka Navy assisted to the sea swimming competition in the annual sports meet of Mahinda College-Galle, held on 24th January 2020.

Accordingly, in response to a request made by the principal of Mahinda College-Galle, 2 lifesaving teams attached to the Rapid Response Rescue and Relief unit of SL Navy with 2 small boats were deployed for the protection of swimmers, under the directives of the Commander Southern Naval Area. The two 4RU teams assisted as lifesavers for 45 students who participated in the competition at the Old jettey sea area.

Sri Lanka Navy is always committed to provide this kind of welfare facilities and any required assistance in a needy hour of disastrous situation.
