Navy assists to apprehend two persons with Kerala Cannabis

Two persons with about 01kg and 55g of Kerala Cannabis were apprehended during a raid carried out by the Navy in coordination with SL Police, in Maravila area, on 23^rd January 2020.

Two suspicious persons who were travelling on a motor bike were spotted during the raid conducted by Western Naval Command in coordination with Maravila Police, at Kochchikade area in Maravila. Subsequently, by further search of the two suspects, about 01kg and 55g of Kerala Cannabis were recovered in their possession. The two suspects, amount of cannabis and the motor bike were apprehended.

The two suspects have been identified as residents of Kalpitiya area aged 39. Further investigation on the suspects and the seized amount of KG, are conducted by Marawila Police.
