Navy assists to apprehend a suspect with Kerala Cannabis

A drug dealer with about 460g of Kerala Cannabis was apprehended during a raid carried out by the Navy in coordination with SL Police, at Manalthottam area in Kalpitiya, on 22^nd January 2020.

Sri Lanka Navy which always contributes in eradicating the drug menace from the island, conducted a drug preventive operation in coordination with Kalpitiya Police, at Manalthottam area in Kalpitiya and observed a suspicious person. Subsequently, the person was searched and found about 460g of Kerala Cannabis in his possession and the suspect was apprehended. It is reviled that he is a resident of the same area aged 26.

Further investigation on the suspect and the seized KG, is conducted by Kalpitiya Police.
