Navy sportsmen excelled at the 13th South Asian Games felicitated

A ceremony to felicitate the Navy sportsmen and women who brought fame to Sri Lanka, representing the country in the 13^th South Asian Games, was held under the patronage of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, at the Admiral Somathilaka Disanayake auditorium in SLNS Parakrama, on 22^nd January 2020.

Navy athletes, who won gold, silver and bronze medals in South Asian Games held at the Dasarath Rangashala stadium in Nepal received cheques and prizes from the Commander of theNavy. Navy athletes bagged 3 gold medals, 21 silver medals and 29 bronze medals in the South Asian Games.

The Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetanna, Director General Service and a host of Senior and Junior Officers attached to the Naval Headquarters were also present on the occasion.
