Navy assists to recover two shot guns hidden in Poonewa forest reservation

In a combined operation conducted with Madawachchiya Police, SL Navy recovered two shot guns which were hidden in the Poonewa forest reservation, on 18^th January 2020.

Sri Lanka Navy constantly carries out operations to avert illegal activities. During such operation carried out in coordination with Madawachchiya Police, Navy recovered 02 locally made shot guns hidden in Poonewa forest reservation. These guns are used for hunting wild animals.

Further investigation on the recovered guns are conducted by Madawachchiya Police. SL Navy always keep vigil eye to curb the illegal activities.
